Is this fair?

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Cardiff City | Purse delighted at ban reprieve

Is this fair?

He gets a red card against Burnley, note this its in a english championship game, and the WELSH FA rescinds his red card so he can now play in the English FA cup.

I dont think its right.

Thats the first thing I said when I read about it yesterday on Ceefax Jen, what the hell has it got to do with the Welsh F. A.. I bet a certain Andrew Cole will not be happy having seen the gash on his leg, I'd be furious. When you reacon that people are getting longer bans for makin frivolous appeals, I saw the tackle on telly and it was worth a red card and a ban

All Welsh clubs should play under the jurisdiction of the English FA if they want too play in English competitions, otherwise they should stick to their own tin pot league. It's a disgraceful decision.:mad:

Re: Is this fair?

Shows how corrupt the decision was;

A CARDIFF City season-ticket holder oversaw the successful appeal that rescued Darren Purse’s FA Cup final dream.

May 4 2008 by Mark Bloom, Wales On Sunday

Kieron O’Connor, a 54-year-old Football Association of Wales Council member, was chairman of the disciplinary panel that overturned Purse’s sending off at Burnley eight days ago, despite the fact he is a regular at Ninian Park.

While there is no suggestion of anything improper having influenced the decision-making process, eyebrows are certain to be raised in Portsmouth.

Their boss Harry Redknapp has already branded the outcome of the Purse appeal as “farcical”.
