Re: manchester the laughing stock of the world
its stupid
course u gotta expect extra fans coming over. but then u gotta lay on the facilities for this or the pubs and bars are gonna b rammed. u get extra fans flying over and this is just a few lads into a minibus and drive down jobby. i reckon those are conservative estimates there |

Re: manchester the laughing stock of the world
Can see that safety would be compromised if as the report says there are going to be 37,000 fans without tickets.

Re: manchester the laughing stock of the world
I was living in Glasgow when it held the Champions League Cup Final in 2002, played between Real Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen.
The atmosphere in the city was great, and there wasn't any trouble. The local economy benefited enormously, as the celebrations went on for days...well at least for the Real Madrid fans.:D |

Why would UEFA be seething ? Are they going to pay the police bill for the City Of Manchester ? Thye chose the stadium, they know it holds 44,000 or whatever it holds. This of course is the same UEFA that holds a final in a city where thousands of football fans have to pay out for a visa on top of expensive flights, and where the football stadium has more seats than there are hotel rooms. If UEFA are seething then it's because they must have forgot to arrange the correct backhander based on the number of people not going to the game instead of ripping off those that do get tickets |
