Totally agree cashy, if they get £17 million for Bents they will probably get Penant for around $6 million, seems right to me:mosher:

$6 million is about £4.2 over here i think :P so you may be wrong that or it was a typeo i think liverpool will ask for around £12m as they know you could afford it

17 million?!!

If Robbie Keane was sold by Spurs for an initial 19 million then there's no way they'll pay 17 million for Bentley. I'd estimate that Bentley will fetch just under 10 million if Rovers are lucky.

agree i don't think 17 million, but yer wrong about under 10, that moneys already been rejected as far as i'm aware.

Your talking about a 23 year old England international here, the Rovers have already said that Bentley will be sold but at their price, and if clubs don't match that valuasion then he'll be kicking his heels on the bench as far as I'm concerned. I didn't see Villa (who made a bib for Bents) backing down over Berry, so why should Rovers do the same over Bentley or any other player for that mater. If the so called Big Boys want players (Spurs Big Boys (thats a laugh, Arsenals poor neighbour) They can't expect to sell their players for top dollar then try to pick up our best players for peanuts. Oh by the way the $ sign was a typo it shuld have been £s

With £18m in the bank I'm sure the 'Gaffer' will come up with something.
Maybe £1m for the whole of Millwall playing staff to act as stewards at Blackburn? ;)

Incey?..I thought he was the "guvnor" untill Sir Alex laid him off!... the South Stand supporters at Millwall would make great stewards at Ewood :D

Re: Bentley

what about Joey Barton as replacement?... he just made an interview after his stint in prison..
1st interview after his stint in the nick,

"The first day's the toughest, no doubt about it. They march you in, hand you your uniform and force you to pose for the photographer while loads of fat, tattooed, skinheads shout abuse at you. That's when you know it's for real. A whole life blown away in the blink of an eye. Nothing left but all the time in the world to think about it. That's when it hits home. That's when you realise you may end up signing for Blackburn."

I thought exactly the same Loz, saw it on the news this morning. It was exactly the same when Duff went to Chelski, but it didn't do him much good in the end did it, he's now in the trophy free zone that is Newcastle:D

Re: Bentley

Thats right Jay the grass isn't always greener on the other side!
Although i have a horrible feeling Spurs will have a good season this season.
Bentley,Modric,Dos Santos and possibly Arhavin coming in,if they keep Berbatov and Bent continues his form from pre season then they could be a force to be reckoned with.
