Re: ince

Bentley and Friedel were two big losses though! The defence is coming under so much more pressure now because of the depleted midfield. Injuries are one of the major causes of Rovers problems this season. Whether thats bad luck or anything to do with new training methods, i really dont know. Only the players know the answer regarding whether they want to play for Ince or not, however they surely want to play for the club and the fans...at least they should do, maybe some of them need a bit more pride in their own performances, and respect for people paying good money to watch them perform!

I still say give him more time, he's not had many matches and has had the above mentioned misfortune with depatures and injuries. But lose against Stoke, and my guess would be that he will go.

The problem then is who to replace him with? None of the names i've heard mentioned excites me...or indeed many other fans...they certainly did'nt seem popular choices when Hughes left, and its mainly the same candidates being talked about again.

Sometimes doing nothing is an option! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that things pick up very soon.

I think Blackburn were punching well above their weight last season.

We all know how important a manager can be to a team.

Harry Redknapp, anyone.

Ince is unproven and will not succeed mark my words.

Laudrap should have been the man to suceed Hughes not Incy Wincy.

Its the easiest thing in the world to be critical when things arnt going well. Surely this is the most important time to get behind the Team AND the Manager! I think i'm right in stating, that Ince was the 2nd Favourite choice of the Fans to replace Mark Hughes....behind a certain unproven Mr Shearer!

I know that cashy, but I've mentioned before, they haven't won a do since Winterburn came in as defencive coach, and quite frankly their defending is abysmal bordering on the criminal, we are now 5 points adrift and if something doesn't happen sharpish it'll be curtains

If the lads in seats are so despondent, then that will probably reflect on the players, then there is little the manager can do about it, never really thought Ince would fit in though, and I dont think Shearer is the right man either, Harry Rednap would be good, if you can prise him away.

Sack him now before it gets too late! If a new manager isnt in before january your best players are going to leave! Its so obvious hes the worst manager in the Premier League! He keeps saying in interviews " we will be better next week" and more people saying he needs more games. How many games are you going to give him?! Some of your players are very good indeed and that has been shown under mark hughes! Its not the players , its the manager! Get rid rovers , or enjoy championship football!

more rubbish, nothing is obvious until the mans had a fair run, 16 games is nowt, nobody will slag him more than me - but when he's had a fair run, n if he don't cut it, stick to yer own team, theres enough J.C. slaggers in that to keep ya occupied.:D

I know sixteen games doesn't sound a lot but to be fair cashy, there's only thirty eight in a season. Nearly half of the games are under his belt and vastly points-free. Risky business.
FC is right to highlight the January transfer window as it's incredibly important in the modern game. From one logical angle, a new manager in before the New Year would perhaps inspire the more sellable players to stay until the end of the season at least, and bring in a couple of signings to liven things up (who in the right mind would come to play for Rovers in the current situation?).
I think Rovers would seriously regret missing out on Roy Keane being out of a club right now. To me he would fit the bill perfectly.

Roy Keane decided he'd took Sunderland as far as he could after spending over 50 odd million quid, he'd have a riot with the 5 million rovers would give him would'nt he!! Definately the wrong man there!!

Good decision by Williams and the board. Hopefully Rovers can get a good management team in now who will take the team away from any relegation threats. The team is far better than that.

Some boards never learn, what's wrong in employing a manager with a good track record, once a failure always a failure.

Curbishly or Allardyce should be given a chance.

No doubt there'll be the silly calls for Shearer to take up managing with Rovers, but if I was a betting man I'd be putting my money on Keane.

Re: ince

Bearing in mind Ince was one of the top choices of the Fans when Hughes left, perhaps the club should run a poll amongst fans.....and then choose who's least favoured!!! ;)

They've just said on Sky that Keane has come in at 7 to 1 by the bookies

Re: ince

Just seen this on the bbc website

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Blackburn | Lowly Blackburn sack manager Ince

and this says it all

"You have got to admire them for trying to get it sorted out and keep Blackburn in the Premier League.
"It is a results business, especially in the Premier League. You have got to stay in that division.
"The transfer window is coming up and you can see why they have done it. They want to get someone in place to say which players have got to go and which ones have to come in."

But didnt know the club were up for sale did you?

"The club have a trust fund and they have been trying to sell the club. If the club go down that's a lot of money lost and the valuation of the club goes down as well. I think they've been possibly putting a lot of pressure on the board.

Been up for sale for a while. I'm sure our learned friends from down the road will correct me if wrong but I seem to recall it was on the verge of going through a few months ago until a late withdrawal.

I agree about pundits Roy, footballers are notorious for being not the sharpest knives in the box and the way some of them spout only proves the point. The one that made me smile the most was Tony Gale, who's only honour was a Prem Champions medal at Rovers, there he is saying that Ince wasn't given enough time, what he really meant was that his beloved team, West Ham might suffer now the Rovers have a new man at the helm, divvy
