Ironic that his first game is against Stoke. Pullis doesn't have coaching badges he has a pilots licence

It's a results business though as Stoke proved last season, to their fans it's all that mattered.

Well I didn't see that happening. Sort of along the same lines as cashy, can't really imagine Big Sam's style at Ewood but best of luck to him. I can only imagine that Keane has a gentlemans agreement with Quinn to stay out of the Premier League until next season.

I think he`ll do an ok job , shame he wasn`t there at the beginning of the season............

why go from one inept manager to another....christ the guy spent millions at sunderland and did jack shat.then jumped ship when the going got tough,,,leaving the mackems with over priced mediocre players ..how would he go on at rovers with ****** all...at least sam has been there n done it with little or no money !!!

i had a horrible feeling shaker, soon as club announced they hoped to have a guy in place fer sat, he was the main option wi that statement, doubt if Keane has any such agreement, also doubt he would come, or the club would have him. which suited me fine, can't stand the man. shearer was never gonna come, he aint the bottle to take on a big club like Newcastle, so was noway he would take a bigger challenge, cushy job at sky suits him at the moment.

Re: its sam the man

Well at least he might tighten the defence up a bit, if you stop the opposition scoring you stand a chance, of late we've been defending like a pub team that have downed 6 pints before kick off

Re: its sam the man

Good choice to keep you up guys!
Bad choice to watch attractive football and pull in the fans!

He will keep you up and make the defence more solid and better still get players in with a limited budget!

Well fair enough but I don't agree, I think he's had a decent start to management & can only progress. A 42% win record at his first club isn't too bad at all.

That might be true shaker but the first time he was under any pressure he jumped ship, seems to me he could be another Keegan, not a bad manager until the going gets tough, who can forget Keegan's I'd Just Love It, Love it, if we beat them to the title, rant:D

Re: its sam the man

Big Sam as appointed Neil McDonald as his number 2, Ray Mathias and Archie Knox have both left the club

Sam was always the man..can't work out why Newcastle sacked him..... now you may sneek up the table a bit more...maybe finish 5th from bottom which will do you lot .. :D :D

Completely agree with FC:Stanley. I'm sure no Bolton fans complained about the style of football with Bolton in Europe with Big Sam at the helm.

Not all of them did, I know quite a few Die Hard Rovers fans who were totally against Incy from day one, myself I was prepared to give him a chance, but at the end of the day I think he was out of his depth, no doubt he may become successful, but after watching extended high lights (or low lights) of the Wigan game here was no hiding place
