What a night. Went to the game half hearted, been through every emotion a football fan can go through in 120 minutes and now have an inconsolable daughter who cried all the way home. :(

Still we finished joint 3rd in this years Carling Cup, not bad out of 92 :D,

Re: dingles

Sadly it all got too much for one fan. Had a heart attack at the game and didn't make it. The highs of tonight take on a new perspective when you hear news like that :(

Re: dingles

watched it myself, well done lads, 3-0 to a team who's weekly wage bill is more than your highest priced signing.

I never really understaood why they kept trying to 'play' for teh last 5 mins, just get it upfield in a corner and barracade yourself in.

As you say though, well done and I'm sure it will have swelled the coffers a fair bit!

The current managers mandate is that he is paid to provide entertainment. A refreshing change from some of the dross we have had over the years but as you say, now and again it's not quite the right tactic.

Your certainly right there dave, but there comes a time when row z is the best opption especialy when your down to the last two minutes and a trip to Wembley is just around the corned, it wouldn't have been bad but bloody Spurs, they're just a bunch of mercenary money grabbing *******

Just come across this feature & must admit not being a burnleyfan did annoy me, why did Redknapp bother last night on those 2 mins ??? He's planning a weakened team against united as to not win so can concentrate on league, causing all the upset for nowt when a passionate team that played very well deserved so much more to win & would of taken the challenge to united, money grabbing effortless spurs!

Redknapp is talking about the FA cup tie at Old Trafford on Saturday not the League Cup Final in February

I know but league cup is less of importance than fa cup - even still having the extra games he dont need if its prem he wants:confused:

A great game, they played out of their skin and looked knackered in the last minutes..............well done.

What 'Arry is trying to say is that his team are very unlikely to be outclassed twice in a week and get lucky on both occasions , so he is making his excuses for the Untied game a few days in advance :D

The only thing about outclassing a team dave is that you've got to do it, as in this case, for 120 minutes not 118, think Coyle was very naive, he should have used the turn round at 105 to put plan B into action, as his players were knackered with the effort they put in, Chris Eagles was out on his feet, he should have had 10 behind the ball for the last 15 minues
