Will Rovers survive?
Looking at the league table Rovers still second from bottom...games in hand and have played well since Sam took over... but playing good has not got them out of the bottom 3! ..when I speak with Rovers supporters they seem to think there's no way they go down... getting close end season now lads and optimism don't get you out of the kak!
|
Re: Will Rovers survive?
The only chance they have of survival is to change from Newton & Ridley.
|
Re: Will Rovers survive?
honestly think they will Mancie! today at Hull is the game of the season though in my eyes, one they gotta win.
|
Re: Will Rovers survive?
wasnt so long ago they got demoted so i dont see why it cant happen again and believe me im enjoying ribbing my son about his switch to blackburn rovers because his friends support them lol
may be time to dust off his MUFC cup as he may be drinking out of it again after this seasons done with mind you if his uncles get their way the liverpool fc cup may at long last be taken out of its packaging that hey bought him  |
Re: Will Rovers survive?
you had to win or at least get a result at Wigan a few weeks ago...on what basis do you think you get even a point at Hull? i suppose that is what I'm trying to say .... we have to win there .. we should win here... OK.. but Rovers have to win lots more... and the other teams around you don't just loose games... Rovers are in trouble.. and cash coming from cashy soon!

Re: Will Rovers survive?
Think Rovers will stay up, but will certainly be a close one! Still feel it will be West Brom, Boro and stoke that go. But others are dropping fast too ie Hull and Newcastle, and The Toon have got some toughies against the top clubs over the next few weeks....mind you so have we!!

Re: Will Rovers survive?
I live in Hull and have been a Rovers fan since 1938 and I went to the game on Sunday..Phil Brown handed the game to Rovers with his team selection. He left his best players on the bench Rovers were a far better team Santa Cruz Warnock and Grella ran the show. I was very impressed with the Rovers supporters There were 24000 at the game but the 2000 Rovers fans sang and supported their team and deafened out the Tigers lot.Very well done and the 3 points will come in handy

Re: Will Rovers survive?
Glad to hear you enjoyed the game Jim, ( Bet Prezza was choking on his Crispy Duck after!! Lol!), fingers crossed we'll get 3pts against Everton too!!
Best Regards - Taggy |
Re: Will Rovers survive?
went everton game and we wasnt that good but we got a point so fingers crossed.

Re: Will Rovers survive?
Well I watched Th full match coverage last night on a Sky highlights program, and if we play like that for the rest of the season we'll be okay, Steve Warnock was awesome last night, to me the man of the match, on another day he would have had a hat trick, hit the inside of the post with the goalie beaten then brought two great saves out of him in the second half. Can't say I was that keen on Djouf coming to Ewood, but I have to admit he worked it tail off last night, he was all over the place chasing down, good all round display, jaysay went to sleep a very happy Bunny last night:D:theband::theband::mosher:

Re: Will Rovers survive?
Rovers are going down. A disgraceful display against Arsenal. Diouf should have walked for the foul on Almunia and Pedersen should be in the next Norwegian Olympic diving team, how on earth did he avoid a yellow card?

Re: Will Rovers survive?
I still feel Rovers will just about cobble together enough points to survive, but it is going to be very tight. Theres a lot of teams involved in the mix this time, and i feel we are solid enough to grind out results against many of the teams in and around us. Lets not take away, from a damn good display by Arsenal yesterday. As Sam says, our fate wont be decided by games against the top 3 or 4 teams. My gut feeling for the drop still remains, West Brom, Boro and Stoke, and i'm pretty convinced we will finish above Newcastle too, their fixtures are more difficult than our i feel. We do need to start to take advantage of our home games now though which we hav'nt been too good at doing so far this season. I do feel that Diouf was very lucky to stay on, a ruddy daft, needless challenge. And Pedersen will, or should, be well embarrased looking at the replays of his attack of dropsy!! The problem is refs will be more aware of his attitude now and may well rule out future, more valid claims!!....But do agree that Ronaldo is still the cheating supremo!!
Best Regards - Taggy PS....and as for Fergie saying they were the better team, has he taken to drinking his vino before and during games these days, rather than after!! Comic Relief a day late!! |

I agree with you Taggy. It was pretty impossible for us against Arsenal on Saturday (mind you - would have thought the same for Spurs yesterday!). Anyhow, letīs hope and pray Sam and the boys manage to bang a few more wins in....they say if you get 40pts you are ok and I think we have 30 now....so keep up the good work Rovers! |

Yes they will. They have quality unlike most teams in their. Would be funny to see them go down with such good players though! To just show to the Premiership that any team can go down!

Rovers v West Ham...spoke to a couple of Rovers fans going to Ewood ..they reckoned a dead cert 0-0..so a point... not good enough.

Re: Will Rovers survive?
was watching the game at the weekend blackburn vs spurs.
dont know how rovers got anything out of that game. dont remember a quality move from rovers throughout the 90 minutes, was never a sending off, was sloppy goals for spurs to concede, on a negative note rovers did look like a championship side, to many long balls not enough 1 touch pass and move, was no real quality through out the side apart from robinson making some good saves! but i think if u do survive big sam will give you a better season next season! |
Re: Will Rovers survive?
well if ya watched it, it was never a penalty either, or when awarded it was beyond the spot, yes it was not a good display, they have played much better n got nowt, its called swings n roundabouts, which i thought a dingle would be aware of.:D

Re: Will Rovers survive?
typical rovers fan :) abit of a shame you have been in burnley's shadow this season lol. ive watch football week in and week out, season ticket at burnley and watch on tv, burnley at out worst this season ( possibly against doncaster ) have been better than rovers best from the games i have seen. but heh lets stick on topic here:
rovers should survive, see you next season in the prem :) |

Re: Will Rovers survive?
Good deal for the last 3 games at Rovers, Ģ20 gets you an unreserved seat in the lower tier Darwen end, less than Ģ7 a match, bargain....come on folks, shout the Blues to safety!!

Re: Will Rovers survive?
Phew!! Breathing a little easier now, not the best match ive ever been to but the win was the vital thing, three more points hopefully will see Rovers safe!

Re: Will Rovers survive?
Yep, i think the only thing that might just save them is how crap Hull have been of late!! I think Hull play Man Utd last game at Old TRafford if memory serves me correct, mind you Utd might have title sorted before then so would'nt count on em to try too hard!!
