7 Years Without A Goal Against???

Years ago in the late forties one of the comics of the day (Beano, Dandy, Adventure, Hotspur, Wizard, Rover and the like) printed what we would call today “factoids”.

I remember reading that Queens Park football club in Scotland went for seven years without conceding a goal.

Is this true?

Unable to find an answer on the Internet I emailed Queens Park FC to pose the question.

A reply from Christine Wright of Queens Park FC replied with,
“Unfortunately I am unable to find a record of this, although it is possible it happened in the 1800’s”

Can anyone throw light on this issue?

Did they actually play during those seven years?? Can't concede if you ain't playing!
