Didn't know Kenny Dalglish had ventured into the world of stand-up comedy.

Blackburn Rovers didn't buy the title (From Lancashire Telegraph)

They didn't, takes more than money to win titles, ask Liverpool, Leeds Newcastle, Spurs. money is only one of the ingredients

"Rovers benefactor Jack Walker’s millions undoubtedly facilitated the rise to the top, as Dalglish was able to bring in the likes of Alan Shearer, Chris Sutton, David Batty, Graeme Le Saux, Tim Sherwood and Tim Flowers - but compared to today’s commercialised world of football, the amounts spent by Dalglish were just ‘small fry’."

What has happened to them since they lost their benefactor? You just cannot compare the transfer fees then and now.

The bottom line is though Barrie because of Jack Walkers legacy, new stadium, state of the art training facilities, Rovers are able to hold their own in top flight football, since Walker died they have run the club within its means, and haven't fallen into the trap as the likes of Pompey, spending silly money they couldn't afford

Quite agree with you J, they do have stability - but also an empty trophy cabinet.
Do have a soft spot for them though - my Uncle took me to my first football ground, Ewood Park - but told to watch the No 7 of the opposition, in red & white shirts - Stan Matthews, just before his transfer to Blackpool.
