Everton v Manchester United
 

The match is nearly over 3-1 to United and the referee signals 3 minutes added time.

Then Everton score, and Everton score again. The referee is required to add time on to allow for the stoppage in play that scoring the goals has caused. At least 30 seconds per goal, or more if there is a greater delay in restarting the match.

Then Everton are on the attack, totally outnumbering the defenders. They are just about to shoot on goal, and the referee blows his whistle. Three minutes 30 seconds added time on the clock.

Am I on a different planet, or is that not more than enough evidence for an FA inquiry into the referee's behaviour?

Gynn, gynn, were talking Manchester United here mate, didn't you know Fergie sets out the rules on time keeping, to be adapted by the ref to suit every occasion, obviously the ref could see United were in danger of throwing all three points down the drain so he took the appropriate action. No doubt there will be an inquest into why the ref allowed Everton to equalise in the first place, all that hard work gone to waste, especially with the Fat Lad not in the right frame of mind to get some stick of the Toffees fans :mad:

Umm hang on what game did you watch?.. the striker shot an the keeper held it.. no problem... when you get any team playing live on tv you will see good and bad decisions by ref's..as Jaysay has said it just so happens that United are on telly more often that others... I reckon those who support some lower league teams that are not on telly could tell some stories about bad ref's that have not been on TV!

Like your politics Mancie, you look at everything through rose tinted specs, even ex-united players say the same when they play United, they never saw the bias as a player its only when you go back, you see which way the refs lean virtually every game, United v City last year springs to mind

To add insult to injury, David Moyes has been charged by the FA for his reaction to the referee.......while the ref presumably escapes scot free.

Probably not. It just annoys me that people pay good money to watch these games, where clearly the referees are consistently failing to act in an unbiased manner.

If ever there was a News of the World investigation required as with John Higgins/the Pakistani cricketers, it is into the antics of Premiership referees.

So the Championship and the other League's referees are beyond reproach are they?
As for the News of the World carrying out investigations - aren't they themselves being investigated at this time?

Referess are and have been dropped for bad performances, maybe the News Of the World doesn't give it enough prominence when it happens for you to notice it :D

There is a chance of a FA inqiury about the ref who robbed Fulham of 3 points.. Diouf put down the Fulham keeper for the Rovers goal.. stop yer whining.. swings n roundabouts

that ref was useless, coarse ya forgot to mention the one where the fulham keeper should have been sent off, are ya related to fergie by any chance? selective memory?:D
