Truly inspired! As is the selection of the defending masterclass Glen Johnson and attacking genius Wayne Rooney, who is just on FIRE at the minute...

Can't we just send Joe Hart and Adam Johnson out on their own? :D

He's going to get paid regardless, so it really doesn't bother him one way or another. :(

We're talking international sides here Dave, not a Micky Mouse side from Merseyside:D

Mickey Mouse !? Mickey Mouse !? Right here & now they don't even rate that ! When you think back to what 80's Liverpool were virtually the national side !

At one time - post 1066 we were French, Liverpool are now as bright as a Toc-H lamp - with a failing battery and cannot keep harping back to when they were a good - even great, side.
One thing to consider is that Scotland had some great players and quite a few played for Liverpool. I suspect that you are destined to a few years in the wilderness, United have been there and England are there now.
The only real problem that I see we have is that there isn't a good enough English manager - is there anyone you think could do it? - Redknap, Allardyce, Bruce, Curbishley, Hodgson. Personally I do not think any of them are good enough.

Not even Redknapp? Really? He's first choice as next England manager in my book.

p.s. You missed John Coleman from your list; the longest serving English manager in the Football League, who has improved on the previous campaign's finish eleven seasons in a row. A feat achieved by no other on your list. :)

Barrie has a blind spot when it comes to anything to do with his home town club. He prefers to pretend he's a Manc. Think it's something to do with Stanley overlooking him when he was a schoolboy player in the 50's. He's never quite forgiven them for it. ;)
