Well if they were going to sack him it had to be know, have another manager in before the Transfer window. when stories were rife on Rovers Web Sites that he was a loggerheads with the new owners, there was only one outcome, only two managers have survived a take over and one is Sir Red Nose down the road

I reckon you read some strange comics if you think Kilby is fleecing the club. Same mould as Walker just not as much money :)

I agree, Big Sam doesn't promote the prettiest football but it is safe. If they go for O'Neill it would have to be a quick success job to get a return on investment. Then again didn't O'Neill leave Villa because of the lack of transfer funds. If the stories of Big Sam's comments about lack of transfer funds are true then O'Neill won't be interested. There again they may just have been forcing Sam's hand

Totally agree with you on that one Dave, Especially with the players they seem to want to bring in. As I've said on another web site to be in with any sort of chance of even coming close to their ambitions they need an instant injection of around £120 million plus in January, and another £40 to £50 million in the next few transfer windows and even then they are not sure to achieve their goal, it takes more than just money , ask Liverpool, Newcastle, Leeds, who in recent years have all thrown money at it only to fail miserably, especially Leeds and the Toon

According to the BBC they say they could take months to appoint a new manager so if they spend any money in January who is deciding who to buy, the Venky's ? Sounds to me like they are going to be the sort of owners who want to run the show further than the boardroom. Not a good sign

Re: Is Fat Sam On His Way Out?

I'm just hoping that Williams stays, not sure where Rovers would have been without him in recent years, they say he's safe...but thats kind of like the dreaded vote of confidence! May be they'll pull a rabbit out of the hat, but i'm not too optomistic really. Why have they got rid of him now...and then made a statement saying that it could take upto 2 months to find a replacement? Seems crazy to me!

Only name what i've seen who i'd like is Martin O'Neill but i cant see him being interested if i'm honest! Big Sam's football was boring which is why i stopped with my season ticket, but it would probably have kept us in the Prem. Its going to be an interesting Season!!

To be quite honest cashy I think your right, the only problem I have is that they have no plan B, we need a new manager in now not in two months, are they going to give money to the caretaker manager or are they just going to bring in players at the behest of these agents they are using, the ones mentioned are no better than what we already have, we need proven Prem players not make weight journeymen from the championship

just depends, think they know the man they want, so the timescale maybe a red herring, unless unable to get him? could be wrong but suspect someone was sounded out before the takeover, scheming buggers these indians lol ask general custer. lol

I think you might be right with the Red Herring bit Cashy...otherwise its a big mistake...or should i say gamble at least! I'm, still of the mind to see if Ian Holloway is up for the job...assuming they dont want a "yes" man that is.

My first choice would actually be O'Neill but cant see him coming on the budget we have available, so pretty sure he's a no go! But would certainly like it to be a good British Manager in any event!

Armchair wheelchair right wing left wing in my masters chamber.. I'm saying the new owners talk about top four and attractive football..that is what every supporter, armchair or not, of any team in the prem would like to hear.. but the reality is that to achieve it you need to spend 100's of millions.. do the chicken people have that kind of money?.. big sam would have got you lot in the top ten this season, and it won't be the lack of attractive football the supporters will be moaning about if Rovers end up back in the relegation dog fight.

Looks like everything in the chicken coop isn't rosy

Quote:

By Mark Ogden 11:39PM GMT 27 Dec 2010

Fans vented frustrations against the Indian poultry producers during Sunday’s defeat against Stoke City at Ewood Park. The chickens, one of which was dressed with a Blackburn scarf, were let loose prior to the game, during which fans chanted “Venky’s Out” and sang the name of the club’s late benefactor, Jack Walker.

Another chicken was confiscated prior to the game having been found by a turnstile operator, while Lancashire Police confirmed that two chickens were detained in a police cell at the ground.

A Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “A cockerel and a hen were released in the concourse in the Darwen End Stand. The chickens were then put in a police cell until they were collected after the game.”

With fan anger rising towards Venky’s following the sacking of Sam Allardyce last month and rumours of transfer targets being influenced by Kentaro, the group who advised Venky’s during the takeover process, fans also attempted to stage a sit-in at the end of the Stoke game. Rovers chairman John Williams was confronted by a small group of supporters.

Having replaced Allardyce with unproven first-team coach Kean, Venky’s has seen Blackburn pick up just a point from two home games.

Mind you in fairness to Rovers fans they are letting the powers that be know how they feel
