I can remember when the scousers were invincible they won trophies for fun just like United have BEEN doing, but red nose is nearing knackers yard, with nobody looking suitable to take over, might be United's slide into oblivion like after 68'

Scousers didn't get that many Jay.;)
Talking at the weekend about the next Manager - as we passed through Fulham Bradway tube and laughed at the Chelski chins on the floor.:D Got a feeling it may already be a done deal for his successor - maybe Guardiola or Mourinho. Only time will tell. Of course a change in manager does often precede a slide into oblivion - Rovers and the scousers are two current examples:eek::p

Are all the scousers in hiding again???????????????????????? They are quick to have a go when other teams lose, well, when La Creme lose, but regularly back into their hidey holes when the scouse lot lose again - and again - and again:hidewall::tongueout:D

Yes DinG, I guessed you would have the bottle to respond, unlike the rest of your lot. Like you I can't see where Rodgers is coming from but can guess where he is going - out of the door:D

However, I just cannot see them loitering in the doldrums for too long - surely at some stage they will get a good manager and sort the team out by getting rid of the dross and building another good team that will give us a run for our money.:)

DaveinGermany 01-12-2012 08:12

Re: Liverpool.. the road to the Title 2012-2013

I'd probably agree about Rodgers, I can see him being sent packing before too long with the results they're getting. Mr.Fenway is a businessman at the end of the day & all he's interested in is turning a profit. Unfortunately this is true of many of the big teams who've sold their souls & names for big bucks.

Mind you it's not all the managers fault, quite a few of these top names should be ashamed of their performances & as such are also in part to blame for the decline in the "Pools" fortunes. I'd sooner have a core of local lads home grown talent who've grown up with the Liverpool ethos in their blood & prepared to give 110% heart & soul, than some foreign mercenary that just picks up a pay packet, makes the right noises, shrugs their shoulders then heads off when a better deal comes along.

Difficult times ahead methinks.

Stanley would jump at the chance of some big bucks coming in. One of the Saudi Princes might be worth approaching as he owns the largest dairy farm in the world and would therefore probably appreciate Stanley's association with Milk:D

I expect all you scouse fans will be recovering from your celebrations at getting into the top half of the league - albeit 17 points off the top spot, and I don't need to remind you who is at the top, but I will - La Creme de la Creme:p

I do find it rather sad that so many of the scouser and NN supporters only come on here when they can have a go at United losing.;):D

Absolutely disgusted, an inch lower and he would have probably lost an eye - there had been coins thrown previous to that incident and Rooney made that point to the referee - why were more security staff not deployed then?
The ****** who threw the missile at RF is an idiot but even more so are the morons who were sat around him. The FA should have City close the home end of the ground for a number of home matches - that way all of them that normally go there will feel the "benefits" of their lack of action.

hah if liverpool FC were to map a route to the title the road is a long way off infact they havnt even got out of bed yet nevermind the pavement

if you put liverpool then to the title as road destination in tomtom it says no address found or route can not be planned haha

id like to dedicate the above remarks i made to my two little brothers who really should know better than to sit in hope each season glued to sky sports only to be left crying into their hands at what has happened to their club

Re: Liverpool.. the road to the Title 2012-2013

I am really surprised, not a one of the usual bigots have had a go against SAF & La Creme:confused: - after all we dropped 2 points, but what a game to watch against Newcastle:)

Not surprised that the musical chairs continues at Deadwood Park - I thought it was a good festive season for them as they only dropped three points. Must be terribly galling for VFC supporters to see that Burnley are above them in the league - and that they are only seven points above the drop zone:rolleyes:

If Stanley can sort themselves out there could be a real local derby next year in the 1st Division - Stanley v Rovers would really be something.:D

The scousers - well, true to form really, can't even string two wins together, no wonder DinG is hoping that Rodgers takes over at Deadwood.

The NN do worry me, with a forward line -whatever the permutation, costing over £100M and they can't seem to score at the moment - I do expect them to click soon and give us a real run for the title - but certainly the scousers won't be any danger, they are even the third team in Liverpool now behind Everton and Everton Reserves.

Hope all you contributors to this thread have had a good Christmas and that the New Year is good to you all:)

Ya don't have to have a selective memory where United and refs are concerned, only the other week that drunken scot, a disgrace to football, was involved in the most disgraceful scenes when he arranged the ref the lineman and the forth official over a perfectly right refereeing decision and got away with it, if that had been any other manager in the football league they have been banned from the touchline, Venger got a 3 match touchline bad for kicking a water bottle, by the same ref who was involved in the incident the other week, then you plastic mancs wonder why United are so dislike, its one set of rules for united another set for the rest of football:mad:

Anybody watch that pathetic display of reffing by Phil Dowd at the Theatre of Merchandising last night, obviously Mr Dowd is a fully paid up member of the plastics fan club, two stick on penalties gives one not the other, for those who didn't see the match, guess which one he didn't give, ask BFS no wonder he was livid, and if the goal that was scored had been at the other end it would have been disallowed for off side, its a joke

Nothing worth talking about at Deadwood then? New manager, 3 year contract or thereabouts - as he only lasted such a short time at Blackpool perhaps he is hoping for a big payoff when he proves to be part of the trend for short duration managers at Deadwood.
What about Suarez? now he has admitted that he cheats, how dfo you justify him now Jay - a brilliant player, but a self-confessed cheat.
C'mon Jay throw your hat into the Wastelands and jinx them as well:p:D

You've a cheek mentioning Suarez, the biggest cheat ever in British football learnt his trade down the Theatre of Merchandising Renaldo. Nothing to say about your latest pet ref Mr Dowd then Barrie, was talking to a true United fan yesterday and he was actually embarrassed by Phil Dowd's performance on Wednesday, mind you he's a real fan not an hanger on:rolleyes:

That came from his own mouth Jay - read something else other than the Beano.
As for true fans - who are you supporting this week. A person who supports a club only because they are playing United and you hope that they will beat them is not a fan - he is a bigot:p;)

Dodgy referees - Clatterbucket, Dowd and Howard Webb.

Cheating players - Suarez, Ronaldo and every single defender who grabs hold of an attacker at a corner after checking he´s on the blind side of the referee.

FIFA turning a blind eye to racist chanting and actually punishing black players who react to it.

And the FA giving two fingers to the fans over ticket prices. 62 quid for a ticket, for goodness sake.

And they call it the beautiful game!

Was watching the Arsenal Game against City on Sunday and I had to applaud the ref for awarding a penalty and sending the Gooners centre half off for dragging a player down in the box, it happens every game and if refs gave a penalty and red card every time they would soon cut it out, even wenger was quiet after the game because there was no defence

I have today just joined the Rovers Trust, the aim is to rid our club of these flaming Indians, I think you'll find Barrie this thread was started by a plastic armchair support, deriding Liverpool, on mention of my team, anyway its more fun poking plastics with a stick, its called Fergie Baiting:D

Jay, from your post on another thread - Me for one cashy, can't stand the git, patronising sod, but at least he's been asked to explain his comments by the FA, there are some really thick sods at the FA, if they haven't twigged his game yet, is frightening officials to death
Is one to assume that when SAF retires you will cease to be such a bigot regarding La Creme?

Well we came to expect playing 14 at Ewood or the Theatre of Merchandising and they list is of poor decisions is a very long one over the years, but I suppose these refs have to earn their corn somehow:rolleyes:

Oh we'll, that's what happens when you take a risk and don't play your best team.
Of course if we had not been found offside on our 2 nd goal, we would have won.
Not the best goalkeeping, but at least they fought all the way to the end. Damm

Well with there being 3 TV matches this aft decided to watch Leeds v Spurs, her in doors would go ape if I wanted to watch them all:D, but there's been some upsets this year, just not very happy that we've got the gooners away, but we've nothing to lose, nobody will expect us to win, there again nobody expected Oldham, Luton Leeds, or Barnsley to win either;)

Question for Liverpool fans.

What would Shankly have made of that snivelling little cheat who insists on pulling on a Liverpool jersey?

I'd like to think he'd have kicked him down the M6 the day he dived in the box three yards away from a Stoke player, and admitted they needed to do 'anything to get a result'

The thought of making him captain makes you feel sick. What an insult to a great club!

Not a good showing, if they'd have put the same effort in from the off as they did in the last 20 or so it probably would've been a completely different story. Still spilt milk & all that, not good enough on the day so well done the Latics.

Never mind lads, could be an easy week for you, Arsenal and then City, of course with Jay the Jinx now supporting you the chances are you will lose against the Gooners and not really try against City so that we don't get three points further ahead of them. Did watch the Oldham match - not just your youngsters that let you down - your more experienced defence were totally ineffective - anyway I will be rooting for them at the weekend.

I know very well who the next oppomnents are Jay - are you still reading the fixtures list in the Beano or something. The thing is the scousers got beat last night and their own manager thought the penalty was "dodgy". Getting even further and further behind the top four but BR stated this week that he exppected to get in the top four - he didn't say in which year though.
As for tomorrow, well if we come away with something I will be happy, if not then of course we will always have another shot at them and we will be there again next year - Scousers and the Deadwood gang won't be.:p:D

Namely because they buy there way there, if Rovers were able to field a team costing over £200 million every week, they'd be in with a shout too, the thing that makes me laugh more than anything is the fact that Fergie has the cheek to moan about fixtures, if your not up to it don't enter it. well Today will be a Sky Sports News free zone in my gaff, only watched it for an hour this morning and though I was watching the United channel. well I'm of to change into my Ronaldo shirt ready for the match which I'll be switching on at 7.44.30s just in time for the kick off:D

its a totally different ball game now, the only thing Uncle Jack did was to invest in the team he supported as a lad on the terraces, not American Business men, Russian Oil barons, or Arab princes, just a local lad who stood by his home town club, he didn't crawl of down the motorway trophy hunting he thought he'd bring them home instead, still the finest achievement since the start premier of the league, it must have been it got up the noses of all the southern Jerno's:D

My commisserations DinG, perhaps BR decided better to concentrate on getting into the top four places this season - that was this weeks big statement from him. Not sure if he is from cloud cuckoo land or goes for long walks on Crosby beach with the Walrus and the Carpenter. No easy way to put this DinG - they were still crap.
Despite the Deadwood bigot's prediction La Creme did pretty well against the all conquering RM - second leg to come but we must be in with a chance.:D
