its a respectable result for blackburn more as they was away , blackburn dont belong in the premiership anyway and that pitch was a disgrace for a first division team

I second that tinks it is the weather, but hey if that's the only way b''''''''ds can get at us, through the pitch we have then HAHAHA!! the only thing that matters is that burnley team can play on it, if other teams can't then that's tough c''p

And to finish it off i cant stand em most of the fans are more interested in getting mac ds 15 minutes before the match has finished not to mention the majority of bburn fans are glory hunters the attendence says it all there

Lol been telling them all week. They wernt right amused.hope replay is a better game

Cafu01 20-02-2005 20:02

Re: post match

replay should be a better game, there will be more passing and more shots.

How are rovers fans blaming the pitch - its the same for both teams!!!!!!!!

Overall they where too over confident and thought they where going to win easily

Well that's where that got them, don't under estimate BURLNEY cos that's what liverpool did and look where it got them.

How can you not blame the pitch, you play on it every other week and everyone else turns up to find a cow patch, even your reserves dont play on it they play at the interlink as for a passing game neither team strung togeather more then 3 passes so dont be hopeful for a decent replay.

slater_scott 21-02-2005 13:50

Re: post match

it was bad, at least rovers will be able to play our football next week. Emerton will be in paradise, yesterday he was poor.

Cafu01 21-02-2005 14:12

Re: post match

Burnley prefer a decent pitch because they are a passing team, if you listen to Cotterill's comments he says a better pitch will suit his side.

Remember Burnley play a different game altogether than the tactics they used under Stan Ternent - they are a passing team

Cafu01 21-02-2005 14:15

Re: post match

Steve Cotterill is spending a lot of his transfer money on buying a new pitch for next season

slater_scott 21-02-2005 14:22

Re: post match

gutted for you, it will just get ripped up again.

Cafu01 21-02-2005 14:27

Re: post match

The new one wont because it will be of higher quality turf, there is also a better drainage system to be put in place

ahh i see.

i dont usually watch rovers but from what ive seen emerton hasnt reached expectations . There was a lot of hype about him when he was in champions league but he looks an average player from what ive seen and not the sort of player to play the football in the sort of game you ll get with burnley thats where you need players like dickov and he s not up to much otherwise he wouldnt have been sat on the bench or in the reserves at city

hes been very good in the premiership this season, he can use his pace, he has plenty of skill, just the final ball.

Cafu01 24-02-2005 09:39

Re: post match

He is past it, wont be playing next season

slater_scott 24-02-2005 09:46

Re: post match

who is?.....

Cafu01 24-02-2005 14:52

Re: post match

Paul Dickov, he doesnt deserve to be playing in the premiership - but then again he is at a relegation threated club (which he has been throughout his career) so its about right

slater_scott 25-02-2005 07:46

Re: post match

He does deserve to play at that level because he works his arse off, and has scored 9 league goals this season, which i must note is more than anyone else in your team.
And that isnt a bad tally for the second lowest scorers in the league.

Cafu01 25-02-2005 13:37

Re: post match

Lee McEvily - 15
Paul Mullin - 13 :) :) :) :)

slater_scott 25-02-2005 13:48

Re: post match

I could have sworn you are a burnley fan.

Accrington stanley is nothing to do with this thread. Difference between premier league and conference also.

Cafu01 25-02-2005 20:05

Re: post match

You have had Dickhead all season - Blake had 13 (10 in league) goals for us before he left, so if he was still here he would have scored about 15 by now.
