Cotterill Hopeful on AA
Burnley boss Steve Cotterill believes he can convince Ade Akinbiyi to plump for a move to Turf Moor.
Burnley have joined Sheffield United in having a £600,000 bid for the Stoke City striker accepted, and Cotterill is ready to fight to land the player. "We have an offer in for Ade Akinbiyi and we're just waiting to have talks with his legal people," admitted Cotterill to the club's official website. "We're waiting to see if we can speak to him this week sometime. "It's been a busy weekend for us and at the weekend he was talking to other people, so we've got to bide our time this week and find a slot that suits Ade and his advisors and suits us. "We would like the opportunity to sit down with him and his advisors and talk about his future because he would be a great acquisition for our football club." |
