Colin Mc rae and Nicky Grist have signed a one rally deal with production team skoda for the forthcoming G.B.rally.
They will be driving a W.R.C Skoda Fabia.GOOD NEWS AS SCHWARZ IS NOT UP TO MUCH THIS YEAR.
McRae has said he will be able to give the skoda team some feedback for the car hopefully to improve it,and has also not ruled out the chance of a permanent deal for 2006 with the team.

It's been a while since anyones posted in here I see, anyhow this years Rally GB is reported to be starting in York and taking in parts of Cumbria and Northumberland including Kielder rather than just being all in Wales, and iirc it's starting earlier than scheduled, October rather that late November.

I live in the forest of dean Gloucestershire , we just had the wye dean rally last weekend, it was great shame they don't send through the G.B stages like they used to when it was the Lombard R.A.C rally.

Dates for the 2006 FIA World Rally Championship and Wales Rally GB have now been confirmed by the FIA World Council. Wales Rally GB will be the season finale, taking place from 1st-3rd December. The 2006 event will also be the final round of the new-look British Rally Championship

I heard the same the other week yerself, I can't remember where I heard it was starting in York and was taking in Kielder etc but it'll come to me in time. I wouldn't have mentioned it if it had been a spurious remark that I'd heard. Now to remember where and when I heard it and from whom.
