Moto cross or scrambling type events?

I recall going to watch scramble bikes at cuerden park , bamder bridge.. must be well over 20 years ago.. never been seen since... would be good to go to an event.. anyone know of any in the area? I have googled but not much luck... scramble, moto cross (is it same thing new name?) or anything like that... anyone?

I'm sure Wingy can help you out with this.. We have a guy at work that used to do some organising of this kind of stuff.
