Hiya all, right i have a little problem i want to change my avatar but every picture i try to put on it says its too big! pha. i have tried to google for pictures that are the right size but it only comes up with ribbish!

If it’s not an animated gif just a picture then upload it here, in a post and I’ll resize it for you.

Just re-size the picture in your photo editing software
If it is animated open the file and take a few frames out

If your running xp use the microsoft photo editor, upload a pic you want to use and then click image, then resize, then save, then upload it. This one was twice the size.

This is the right size now, altered the colours a touch as well and sharpened

Just found an easier way to do these avatars if anyone else is interested.
When you post a picture on the forum it always shows a thumbnail of it below your post, the thumbnail version always comes out at 100pix on the longest side, if you right click over this image then save it to your pc you have the picture at the right size. Its not the best way of doing it as some I have tried come out at 3kb (Hornbill pictures) but still look OK at 100pix wide

i saved the big picture and it didnt work so i tried the little one and that worked thank you K.S.H.

Its just a shame i will have to post it on here everytime i want to change it.

See my post above for an easy way of doing it, but if you do post them someone will re-size them for you

Try this, had to take a few frames out and loose some quality as well
