AN ACCRINGTON medical centre is investigating claims that sensitive patient information was openly discussed in nearby pubs.
Mother-of-two Louise Campbell claims that staff at Peel House, based in the new Accrington Pals Health Centre on Paradise Street, were overheard talking about her health.

I couldn't help smiling at the content of that link Bonnyboy. She's complaining that a few people in a pub overheard details of her medical condition - now thanks to putting it in the paper most of Hyndburn and assorted ex-pats will know too. :D

The link worked.... and that is DISGUSTING behaviour of people that are learnt very early on in their jobs that Confidentiality of information is vital. The people that are guilty of this should be struck off immediately if this is true.

I know what you mean Willow, BUT, it is her information to give, if she wants everyone to know, then she has a right to let everyone know, But the people that are supposed to be safe with our private information have no right to discuss her information in general public.

Re: Just testing

I totally agree that no-one should have discussed any patient confidential information outside of the surgery (and even in the surgery it should only have been done in private) - I just thought it was a bit daft that she then went on to list what specific confidential stuff they had discussed. Those details need not have been quoted in the paper for even more people to be aware of. It just makes the complaint look a little foolish.

You can't go posting links and expecting AccyWebbers not to respond. Even if you called the thread 'don't read this' we still would do - you should know that by now! :D

Are you showing her in person or trying to illustrate online? I ask because sometimes when you try to show the html it doesn't work because the forum follows the instruction rather than showing the instruction and you have to jiggle with it to get it to show what you want tit to show.

I think thats what Pam1 would probably like, best to ask her tho...it is the specific link she was wanting to post, so she would have made a thread out of it if she could have :)
