Billy Preston R.i.p.

noticed earlier in the week the great man croaked - kidney failure, surprised no-one commented? maybe only me thought so? R.I.P. worked with both stones and beatles in his day as well as his solo career, the guy could certainly play the keyboards.

No, I didn't, Al, so thanks for letting us know, Mr C. A sad loss. What was that brilliant instrumental record of his they used to play up Accy Disco? I can hear it now, but I've totally forgotten the name.

It's all come back to me now. It was called "Billy's Bag" - I remember Big Mick Ward, Accy Corporation bus driver and part-time DJ giving it a spin to a packed floor. "Outta Space" came later in the early 70's - another cracking track.
