Bowie The Very Very Best Of

David Bowie, maybe one of the most influential & diverse singer/songwriters of the past 30 or so years. So following on from the U2 thread, whats your favourite Bowie song?Theres a hell of a back catologue to choose from.I think my personal favourit would have to be 'Sweet Thing/Candidate' from Diamond Dogs or The Jean Genie or Everyone Says Hi or Joh......well,theres many.

'Life on Mars?' for me.

However, imo Bowie hasn't had any decent stuff out since Heroes in '77; the past 30 years have been pretty awful.

If you get chance listen to his last two albums Heathen & Reality.Although maybe not his best, they are both very good albums & far better than his 80's & 90's output.Ashes To Ashes, another classic.imo.

Though his latter albums aren't bad, they're not great either. And in your heart you kind of know that although they sound all right, it's actually just rubbish & he's lost what he once had.

No. I mean like David Bowie, obviously.

I made my opinion about Bowie's newer stuff.
If you want to chat about Oasis, start a thread about them.
I couldn't care less otherwise.

Starman, because it's just so beautiful, and Heroes because it was playing the first time I kissed the last girl I was in love with.

It's either Heroes or Rock And Roll Suicide. Both brilliant and could only be done by him.

Saw him about 25 years ago and to be honest felt let down as he didn't seem to care about the crowd.

Sorry to have to correct you on this one, Mr C, but the original of Sorrow is by the McCoys.

At the moment it's "Starman" - but then again it could be "Heroes" - or maybe "Space Oddity" oh heck I dunno, everytime I think of another one that's the one I like best!
