worst recording ever
seems we have lots of threads for the best of ........ how about a poll for the worst record you can come up with.........my vote goes to this gem.
Max Bygraves singing the Cowpunchers Cantata, http://www.mad-music.com/audio/anoyi...20Cantata-.mp3 |
Re: worst recording ever
Really bad equals good in my book, except for Mistletoe and Wine by Sir Cliff, which is truly dire...but still leaves you humming the damn thing.:D
|
Re: worst recording ever
fortunatly Sir Cliff never made it big this side of the Atlantic though I hear he is popular in Tenerife (hi Junie) ,
I think the second worst thing ever recorded was that Grandad thing by Clive Dunn |
Re: worst recording ever
Agadoo, the Birdie Song, that thing by Des O'Connor that I can't remember the name of, Shadappayaface ............
|
Re: worst recording ever
johnny regge- the piglets was really crap, and after that ANY record jimmy young ever made.;)
|
Re: worst recording ever
You're Beautiful - James Blunt
Anything by him actually. Truly, truly awful. This years X-factor song is very badly written but you can't fault the vocals on it. |

|
Re: worst recording ever
The entire Oasis catalogue, truely awful music
|
Re: worst recording ever
Anything by the Smiths or Morrissey - moaning, self-pitying garbage.
|
Re: worst recording ever
No, I was wrong with my last post, I've thought of something even worse than moaning Mozzer. The complete works of Leonard Cohen...whinging, miserable dirges delivered in a tuneless croak.

Suzanne and Sisters of Mercy are two great songs , though I have to admit both have been covered with less angst by other people (sorry the link to the original post to the Max Bygraves thing doesn't seem to work ) |

Just thought of another - everything by Blur or Gorillaz except from 'Modern Life is Rubbish' which is a very good album. |

Any cover sped up or sung by a woman with bpm of 230 over it. (e.g. that cover of Poison, Heaven by DJ Whocares, or anything of that ilk, bland boring and totally devoid of any talent !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!):bangh8:

Re: worst recording ever
There isn't a single one; too many spring to mind. Anything by any boyband at any time. Come on, you know boybands are rubbish, unless you're a prepubescant girl. "Patience" by the reformed Take That is just diabolical. Girls Aloud are rubbish too. Add all girlbands to this list too. "If you wanna be my lover" by the Spice Girls. Man, that's awful. "Saturday night" by Whigfield. I agree with whoever said Morrisey, he's such a manic-depressive. Bros were crap. Vanilla Ice was absolutely rubbish. Michelle McManus had a song, I don't know it's title, but I don't have a word to describe how bad that was. The Crazy Frog songs are just total and utter....[insert appropriate profanity]. The list is practically Infinite and Accyweb's servers/webspace doesn't have an Infinite capacity, so i'll leave it short and sweet.
Lucky I have some decent music to rid my mind of this musical junk. Have a nice day, Infinitus |
Re: worst recording ever
There have been way too many cr@p songs to list on here and I would be hard pushed to find an all time worst. Most of these diabolical recordings have catchy tunes which invade your mind and have you humming them all day....No wonder there's so much mental illness in the world, we have all been taken over by dross. Here's a short list of some of the worst.
1) Mistletoe and Wine - I agree with Rindy on this one, I was humming the ****** all yesterday and nearly ended up sectioned under the Mental Health Act. 2) Mr Blobby - What a load of absolute utter sh1te by a man in an oversized novelty condom suit 3)Anything by Jive Bunny - Yes, the festive season is upon us and once again, we are subjected to this rubbish. 4)Anything which has an accompanying dance - You know the ones I mean. Music Man, Agadoo, Birdie Song, Macarena etc. 5)Anything which has been sung on Eurotrash - Catchy tunes about dog poo and erections, sung by hairy men (and women) in lederhosen.:D It beggars belief how some of this drivel can actually reach the top of the charts. |

Exactly, this bloke is a musical genius...
The hurricane...what a tune... |
Re: worst recording ever
Just know nobody will agree with me, but I detest 'I will always love you' .. Whitney Houston ... too many notes put there to show off technical ability ? and really grates on me. Love the Dolly Parton recording though.
|
Re: worst recording ever
'I Will Always Love You' is an utterly disgusting song, it's only use is for wannabes on the telly to cover it. Badly.
Bloody awful. |

Just to resurrect this thread, as it's nearly Christmas and time for decades old tripe to rule the airwaves, what about Paul Evans - Hello, This Is Joanie (The Telephone Answering Machine Song) a song verging on the brink of distance necrophilia if ever there was one.
