There were good points and bad points behind Live Earth, and having looked at the background of the thing a lot of work was made to give the thing a small an environmental footprint (Not just Carbon Footprint) as possible.

Regardless of it's success as an environmental awareness bonanza (I know many people who thought it worthwhile, many who couldn't be bothered) I'd say it was worth it to watch Spinal Tap back in action again.
