Friday July 27th CORRUPTED Presents
all the way from Holland

THE MONROES bring their Sensational garage rock sound to the Hargreaves Arms. They are stopping off as part of their UK tour. More used to playing the Dutch festival circuit this is a rare oppertunity to see this awsome band in action. Entry is Free so don't miss this great show we've pulled a few strings and used up some big favours to pull this off. Lets show them a famous Accrington welcome and make sure the want to return.

Also playing are the 315s Taking their name from the address of New Yorks legendary CBGBs. They play tunes by some of the bands that gave the place its notoriety. The Stooges + The New York Dolls come to Accrington.

Can't wait for this one, The Monroes are awesome. Quite a pleasant surprise to see a band of this size coming to Accy (and it's free !).

I've seen The 315s a few times, another top band, pure rock n roll !

Formed at an alcohol infested all-night party in November 2002 in the city of
Groningen (the Dutch capital of surf & garage punk music). The Monroes have a
reputation for partying hard & it has been known for gigs to turn into riots
as girl-singer Josje's soulful voice and stage appearance leaves the male
parts of the audience gasping for breath and their girlfriends turning green
with jealousy. However The Monroes don't mind, because in the end they just
want you all to witness their show, packed with tunes that are carefully
drenched in forties jazz, fifties rhythm & blues, sixties soul and all-time
rock 'n' roll, performed with energy and style. And that is all that
matters, right?

Supporting are Corrupted favourites The 315s. A Preston Based Band who is
keeping the spirit of New York's CBGBS alive. Their music is a mixture of
original material and hot covers by the likes of The DeadBoys, The Stooges,
MC5, Velvet Underground, New York Dolls etc. I have heard Rumours that they
are saying a special guest vocalist will join the band on stage for a song.
A fun filled, drink-fuelled rock n roll night is bound to be had. Check it out!
