I went one better Wyn, I saw them live in a Southend nightclub called Talk of the South, never bought their records though:D

Another 70s act Polly Brown when she left Pickettywitch teamed up with singer actor Bobby Brown and recorded this around 75, went under the name sweet dreams, and was Polly a dream, not at all snobbish, did a week at the Cav around 77 great act and great to talk too as well

This is the actual TOTP version

Just a correction to the info on my above post Polly Browne teamed up with Tony Jackson in Sweet Dreams not Bobby Brown as I stated, its those little grey cells that are disappearing at a greater rate of knots these days

Are you sure about that, SJ? I always thought Ronnie's ma was half black, half red indian and her old feller was a mick? Still a babe whatever...

Let's be honest, mate, anyone with any musical taste wouldn't have bought their records. However, by the early 70's Ronnie had married that Phil Spector feller and my plans for a whirlwind romance (cocktails in the Derby, a romantic dinner upstairs in the Pickwick, a moonlit stroll along Broadway, a cosy little love nest in Fern Gore) were looking distinctly rocky, so I had to look elsewhere. However, from what Cashy says about the Middle of the Road bird, I would've booted her out. She couldn't sing like Ronnie, anyway... ;)
