Re: Accy Web video jukebox.
Oh, right! I see! Didn't see any ghosts, but as I stood there in that hallowed room, I certainly felt a shiver running down by spine, as I thought about the people who'd recorded there...Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Howlin' Wolf, Bo Diddley, Little Walter, Etta James, Sugar Pie DeSanto, Tony Clarke, Fontella Bass, the Dells etc etc...loved it so much I'm going back again next year!

Re: Accy Web video jukebox.
they actually did a cover of the Drifters (this magic moment) which for me is one of the few covers BETTER than the original.;)
|
Re: Accy Web video jukebox.
Yeah, I'd agree with you on that one, even though I rate the (50's-60's) Drifters as one of the finest vocal groups of all time.
...but what I want to know is, who sneak the video camera into my living room last night? :D :D |
Re: Accy Web video jukebox.
with you on early drifters, this guy was the original lead singer and for me the best.
|
Re: Accy Web video jukebox.
Yep, he was the best and he had some pretty stiff competition, too...Ben E. King, Rudy Lewis, Johnny Moore...but as this (sadly still) clip shows, he was numero uno...
