Refering to Prince and Princesses past and present.
If a thread about Butties can ramble on for thirty pages, changing the subject many times without intervention...why not this one?

Re: You Know That Song...

And because this is in the music section, and might be read by someone who has a more encyclopaedic knowledge of the subject than I do: I have to admit that I don't like "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" but recently I listened to the words closely for the first time .... and I found some thematic resemblances to a song I do like: "Midnight Train .... Georgia" by Gladys Knight .... anyone else notice this .... think about it while waiting for the Prince or Princess to arrive .... Now that's a wander, but at least one with a purpose, even if it is a personal purpose.

I found my princess almost 30 years ago now. Had known her for even more years but tragedy brought us together! She still could use some lessons in anti-clutter and gatherer but heck, she does make a great cuppa each morning for me (with a rub of the head added)!

Brian

Oh, forgot to mention as she goes by Cindy Rose, often sing (or better think of) the song "Every Rose Has It's Thorns!" :>)
