Ronnie Drew, R I P
"Who's Ronnie Drew?", you ask. Well listen to this.
YouTube - The Dubliners - 7 Drunken Nights (Live) I heard the full 7 nights, a long time ago, and Saturday and Sunday were, er, a bit rude. The commercial record only went uo to Friday. :D Ronnie died yesterday, in Dublin, from throat cancer at the age of 73. He had a unique voice and played and sang with The Dubliners, a fantastic "folk" band, for many years. He was a great character and very highly regarded in Ireland. |

Good night and God Bless Ronni Drew. A couple of old standards in my collection and on my I Pod are Carrickfergus and The Irish Rover. Not every Englishman’s taste but classics in their own right....Don't Sleep over there.....Sing.
