Re: Party songs

Parties are probably a lot different to the ones we used to have at my parents' but we used to have a damned good time. :D

Both my parents were good pianists (my mum was classically trained) and they had a good piano. After a few whiskies, a fair bit of wine and loads of mum's great food, it was the norm to congregate round the piano, in the front room at 559, Livesey Branch Rd., and sing while Mum played. My sister-in-law and I were rivals (she was soprano - I was mezzo, but louder) and all the old 'uns came out; "Me and My Gal", "When I Grow Too Old To Dream", any Gilbert and Sullivan. I used to do a few Gracie Fields numbers too.

There's no "party" record that can compare. ;)
