Who has been the greatest live act ever?

Who has been the greatest live act ever?

The best band or act you've ever seen?

The Stones, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Queen, Pink Floyd, The Who, Bowie, Dylan, Kiss, Nirvana or someone else?

This Day in Music have just started a poll to find out. If you fancy voting for who you think should win go to This Day in Music.com

You can vote for any act, just go to 'other' on the list.

Once saw a show at King Geores Hall Blackburn in the early sixties, on the bill were Cilla Black, Roy Orbison, Gerry and the Pacemakers, and The Beatles, oh and the tickets were three shillings and sixpence each. In my days working at the Cav, saw many groups and acts, some good some bad, I think one of the Best were The Detroit Emeralds, the worst, that snotty cow thats is Lynn Paul (ex New Seekers)

Its just a shame that she came to the notice of people when it was to late for us to show her the recognition she deserves.

Re: Who has been the greatest live act ever?

Toss up between Siouxsie and the Banshees in 1980, or the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1989. Both were great concerts.

Most memorable gig was seeing the Beastie Boys at the height of their infamy, in 1986 I think. They were bottled off the stage without playing a note, to a rousing Scally chorus of 'We tamed the Beasties'.:D

It is definitely a shame... she died the day after my 16th birthday and I knew nothing about her until a few years ago:(

one "notable" show I attended/dragged to was local , Martholme Grange in the early 80s , featured a guy called Emile Ford who had been popular in the late 50s , hillarious to see all the mums and grannies going ga-ga over an old bloke obviously well past his prime . :D :D
