Pete Doherty

May have a reputation for being a fast living, hazy, spacey, druggy but so what? He's a musician and.......... I'm well impressed.
Being faced with that talent he hits something inside me.
Loving it

:rofl 38::rofl 38::rofl 38:come Susie he's a nutty as a fruit cake, he could probable team up with Robbie, they'd make a great duo. I have no time for these so called stars, who are supposed to be roll models for kids and are continually arrested for sticking needles in the are and generally making clowns of themselves, and continually been give one last chance after another

Re: Pete Doherty

well thing is
I dont see him as being a 'role model'
I see him as being a talented musician and thats exactly what he is. No problem with Robbie either although I haven't a full view on him cos I haven't seen him live.
And...I have to say, I love Pete Doherty's music. its great. Listen to it and try.
Its subjective anyways, we all have 'our stuff'
Mine ranges from Jazz to Gothic metal...hey...

Re: Pete Doherty

Ill assume you spent time listening to his stuff and seeing him live then to form such a vehement opinion of his music
And that you aren't basing his sounds on what you consider to be a shabby lifestyle/addiction problem or because you dissaprove/look down on of how he lives

pipinfort 27-03-2009 15:40

Re: Pete Doherty

I have seen him live........and stand by my opinion as that performance is the basis for my answer.........Rubbish.

Re: Pete Doherty

Oh really?
Lucky you
Where did you see him? Which tour?

Like I said its subjective but summat I wouldn't ever do is just diss someones else's like as 'rubbish!' That is so dismissive.
Like I wouldn't say 'Boll*x!' to their viewpoint.

Re: Pete Doherty

susie if ya pay good money to see someone (which i do frequently) n ya think they were crap, then yer certainly entitled to say so IMHO.

Re: Pete Doherty

I went with a mate (spare ticket) to The Mill in Preston to see Babyshambles don`t know which tour but it was about 5 years (ish) ago(summerish).....and believe me they really were a `shambles` and i`m not just talking Pete Doherty, they were all of their heads and sounded terrible....i was`nt a fan beforehand and i certainly was`nt converted......now he`s alleged to have `cleaned` up his act maybe he has improved......???

pipinfort 27-03-2009 16:40

Re: Pete Doherty

I don`t think they played for long either if i remember.......
