Travelling Wilburys

I've got a mental block The Wilburys were made up of George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and who, can't remember the 5th member, Gerry Rafferty keeps coming up, but I'm not sure:confused:

That's the promo video for End of the Line. The video was made shortly after the death of the Big 'O' so they represented him with his signature guitar in a rocking chair while the verse he sang was played.

edit:
There was a documentary filmed on the recording of the first Wilbury album (which is probably what was shown on BBC4), you can find a few clips on YouTube if you have a scant :)

The Traveling Wilburys was one of the few supergroups that Clapton wasn't in!

Great band, remember reading after the Big O died, they were going to ask Del Shannon to replace him, sadly Del was not aware of this n shot himself suffering from depression.

for me Roy Orbison disappeared fom the "scene" sometime in the late 60s , was surprised to check out the 'wiki' page and discover he passed as recently as 88,
must have a mental block/blank somewhere

Think his last hit before he popped his clogs was "You Got It" which was round about 1987

Re: Travelling Wilburys

"I Drove All Night" is a song written by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly for Roy Orbison. Orbison first recorded the song in 1987, but his rendition was not released until 1992, after the song had become a top 10 hit on both sides of the Atlantic
