Mary Travers from Peter, Paul and Mary passed on a couple of days ago . they were big in on the American Folk scene during the 60s in the same league as Dylan and Joan Baez .
A class act.

72 years old! And it seems like yesterday. Great band from a time I loved.

I'll think of her tonight as I puff the magic dragon.

My 9 year old granddaughter Laura, who has been learning clarinet for just less than a year, played in a concert in early August. One of her pieces was "Puff the Magic Dragon". I think Peter, Paul and, very possibly, Mary would have been quite pleased with her rendition. :)

I liked this trio, back in the days when I was folk singing. They made a big contribution to the Folk Scene. (Keep it dark but......Mary was only 6 years older than me :eek:)

would never have thought she was 72..I did like them specially Dylans "Blowing in the Wind".. R.I.P
