Any young people interested in starting a band?
 

Hi there,my name's Michelle. I'm new on here. A friend and I have considered starting a band for a few months now. We're both pretty much beginners on guitar,but we can play a few things,but finding it easier to improvise. At the moment we think our main priority is to find a bassist/drummer/vocalist,any of which you come under and are interested please contact me.We're both from the Accrington area, I being from Fern Gore,and my friend from Whalley Road. No need to worry about places to play,as I know somewhere. Please contact me if you're interested. Thanks. :D

what are your influences? im a vocalist/guitarist, my singing style is like ian watkins of lostprophets and my guitar playing is influenced by billie joe armstrong from greenday, by the way how old are u?

Hi woody,that's great! I like Greenday,although having only heard "Time Of Your Life" that I'm aware is by them,and I love the song. I like Ian Watkins voice so I think that would be a good sound. You probably won't like them,but my friend and I listen to a lot of Busted and McFly! lol,and we're into that kind of music,but we have a broad approach and like a lot of different genres... And to answer your question,I'm 16,and yourself? Where abouts in Accy are you?

you're right, i don'ally like busted but i am always open 2 new things! im 15 and im from near the Accy Vic hospital, where are you from?

Woody,that's great,my mate lives just up from there too! Whalley Rd. Unfortunately I'm a bit further out,Fern Gore in fact,but it's only a bus away,and me & her meet up often to hang around/play etc. 15 is good,at least we've finally found someone about our age! lol and being open to new things is good,we're willing to try anything. HI chelle I just read your thread about starting a band. We might be a little late but, did you start your band and if so are you still needing a drummer ?? My son playes drums and has alot of experience and is looking 4 a good local band. He has played live many times and had is very used to playing in public. Yes,the band has started!! We are in the process of making our first song and it is going very well so far. Our first song is "Everything She Never Had" which is basically about some girl who stalks this guy. I wrote the lyrics *squee so proud* and Dean and Liam (2 male members of band) co-wrote the melody on piano. Rachie is learning bass and we are adding that,along with guitar... and drums (when we actually get a drummer,but until then Liam will probably be playing) which is also going well. =D Our current band status is: Dean - Pianist/Vocalist; Rachel - Bassist/Backing Vocals; Liam - Pianist/Vocalist/Guitarist; Michelle (Me) - Guitarist/Backing Vocals. Anyone who is interested and around the age of 16/17... who plays drums!...and even better if you're at St. Mary's College message please =D if you're interested in joining us. See ya x

Sorry guys but we now have a drummer. His name is Carlton and he is also at the college. Things are slow atm,due to exam/study commitments for AS in Jan. We have, however, written a few more tracks now,most of them having melodies. These include; "Breaking Up" and "Miss You So".

Also considering producing a xmas song as it is coming up to it.

Maybe you can all play for us at some AccyWeb meeting - ohoh realised those are usually in pubs and you're not 18!

It would be good to hear an "AccyWeb Band". :)

lol We're not really heavy sorry to say... but a friend of ours is starting a band that's gonna be extremely heavy lol. That's if he can get all the band members.
