Christmas No.1.

Daily Telegraph are saying Eva Cassidy 'Silent Night' could be the Christmas No.1.

Any other contenders?

Correct. And exactly the reason why the Xmas 'number one' (or any number one for that matter) holds absolutely no significance to the world of music; only to Cowell's back pocket.

I hope some Facebook campaign backs a tune by Timmy Mallett or Dimmu Borgir or something...

There is a plot a foot to get 4 mins of silence to the Christmas Number 1 position!

This year's comedy Xmas No. 1 contender: Silent song 4'33" ? The Register

By the way Eva Cassidy has a great voice but she's no longer alive R.I.P.!

Hope this gets to No1 for Christmas...

...it's got the off-the-wall lunacy and rock 'n' roll craziness that Cowell and his plastic, synthetic, blandly packaged creations could never aspire to in a million years.

Remember...the bird's the word!

Just listened to the BBC Chart and the X Factor is number 1! Quite honestly the whole lot of the top ten is utter rubbish. There's not one decent Christmas record in there! There's not one decent record in there at all!

They don't write Christmas songs anymore, perhaps proper Christmas songs are uncool? Perhaps it's uncool to sing about Christmas?
