I'm looking for a famous piano piece...

I'm trying to find a piano piece that begins with two keys. One black and one white toward the far right of the piano. I believe it may be Chopin, but I can't be sure. It is a very famous piece, but I do not know the name of it. Any help would be appreciated.

If you do get the name, I can fix you up with the names of two ladies who deal in sheet music. One in Bacup, one in Preston.

I'm not looking for sheet music. I'm a fan of classical music, especially piano (rather unusual for 18, yes), I've been trying to find it for a while, but when I describe the start of it as 'do do do do do do do', not many people understand.

Right, now we are getting somewhere, I think you missed out the intro & put in an extra do.

It's by The Scaffold:-

Thank you for your reply but that isn't the one I am looking for. It begins with only two keys being played (one white and one black). These are played about three times each. It is a high piece, played initially on the right side of the piano.

This one, doesn't matter if it isn't worth listening to anyway!

If you like the Beethoven piece then you may also like the Chopin Etude in E Major.

Yes, Mr. Pipinfort, but the piece could start with two whites. Or two blacks.

I actually think it's amazing. Especially on November Rain and Estranged.

Well Neil, have a listen to this, Pink Floyd. Great Gig in the Sky played by the great late Rick Wright.

And if you really want to listen to Guitar perfection, try Pink Floyd, Shine on you crazy diamond part I-V, Album Version off Wish you were here.

But to appreciate this you must do this in a dark room with a very very good system (Loud) or at least a decent pair of cans (maybe Beyer Dynamic DT100's at minimum).

it will blow you away

Boeing Guy - I appreciate that you are busy jetting around the world but I don't think you have read this thread, or you would realise that your two posts are off topic (as are a few that preceded it).
We do have a thread for videos in the music section.

Boeing Guy 25-01-2011 17:44

Re: I'm looking for a famous piano piece...

Sorry Margaret, I did not mean to do that. Great gig in the sky is a Keyboard track, written by Rick Wright, a pianist and vocalist Claire Torry. Similarly Shine on you crazy diamond has almost 3 minutes of one chord, most of it a keyboard.
My understanding of this thread is that it had veered off topic a long time before I commented on it.
Must be the jet lag!
