Re: Music extravaganza of the year

I hate it, I hate it with such a passion!

We will never win becaause europe hates our guts......not half as much as we hate theirs though.
I do not know why this stupid 'contest' hasn't been ditched years ago.

Re: Music extravaganza of the year

I won't be watching it, we never have a chance of winning, it's too political, although i do like our entry this year ' I Can ' by Blue is very catchy, Reece has had it on none stop for the last month so i have no choice but to like it....lets just say, i know all the words already, i do believe Jedward are singing for Ireland too :o

heth 13-05-2011 13:58

Re: Music extravaganza of the year

Thats one reason to watch it to laugh at them planks!!!! :D

I wish I were in a pub in Ireland watching it like I were a couple of years back, would love to see the faces when Jedward came on!!! :D

Margaret Pilkington 13-05-2011 13:58

Re: Music extravaganza of the year

Jedward...and singing(???oxymoron).......should those two words be in the same sentence.
That alone is a good enough reason to give the thing a very wide berth

Re: Music extravaganza of the year

Its the weird and wonderful who usually win though Marg :(

Margaret Pilkington 13-05-2011 14:40

Re: Music extravaganza of the year

Well, I agree that Jedward are weird, butI think I would have to draw the line at wonderful...though I am sure their mother thinks that are!
(oh yes and lots of star struck girls).

I see that Lena (Lena Meyer-Landrut) is singing for Germany again, she won last year with "Satellite" which I thought was rather good

Since when has Azerbaijan , a country which is East of Turkey and North of Iran been considered Europe ? guess its all part of the BBCs re-education policy.  ;)

I am surprised that Jedward didn't win.......this competition has nothing at all to do with the ability to sing, or music for that matter.

I just caught the last bit of it in the club. I must say its a lot better watching it when you've had a couple of pints.

Bernard, Beer goggles might improve the view, but how do they improve the noise(I was going to say music, but thought better of it)?

To be honest with you Margaret, the only bit I saw was the scoring. If I'm being really honest Margaret, I was really waiting for match of the day to start.

Re: Music extravaganza of the year

See, Bernard.....I knew you had more sense, more taste and that beer goggles couldn't really alter that!:)
