Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath have reformed and are going to release a new album and there's going to be a worldwide tour, I maybe a bit Paranoid but will Ozzy Osbourne be able to stand up right through a world tour;):D

There'd be no chance of that anyway I would be in the same town never mind a venue;)

Re: Black Sabbath

Groove thinks this is another consequence of people downloading music instead of buying actual disc/tapes etc....dinosaur bands having to tour for a pay day like Take That, Stone Roses etc

Re: Black Sabbath

Don't think I'll be going to see 'em. Not an Ozzy fan. Sabbath had much better frontmen after Ozzy went in the 70's. It's only because Ronnie Dio (Ozzy's replacement in Sabbath and arguably the greatest ever heavy metal singer) died last year that the other guys are even contemplating getting together with that clown again, it's happened before, don't think they even really like each other. Tony Iommi, Sabbath's guitarist has always been the mainman in the band - he's the guy who "invented" heavy metal NOT Ozzy who seems to get the credit for it!
Rant over.....Oh, did I mention I don't like Ozzy?

Re: Black Sabbath

Although I liked the heavier groups of the late 60s and early 70s, I never got into Black Sabbath. I preferred the likes of Cream, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Led Zeppelin etc.

Pigs have already flown.
The Floyd have already reformed in the past several years, Live 8 and then earlier this year David and Nick joined Roger at his performance of The Wall in London.
As to a tour.... well if they did, I would be there.

Cream and Hendrix were my cup of tea too Michael, although I did like one Sabbath number, Paranoid

I used to a regular festival goer & saw Ozzy during Ozzfest, think it might have been 2005 at Donington what a cracking show he puts on. He might be a bit befuddled by the drug abuse in the past but he still knows how to rock

Hendrix was one on his own, years before his time, don't think anybody has ever mastered controlled feedback like Jimi, he made an art of it

Agree  There'll never be a player like Hendrix I don't think you can top it, he managed to get every kind of sound out of it from high's to lows etc.
