Oh the smiths were great. Still listen to them often though I never listened to them in the 80's ( would been about 7/8 years old.. Yeah Morrissey is a big diva/whore & mediawhore haha. Not much into his solo career and his in your face attempts at airing views-- But the smiths was the 2nd best thing to come out of the 80's musically and of course that's why we should have a soft spot in hearts for him :D

For years now Morrissey seems to go out of his way to be controversial...I reckon the bloke has gone bitter... but the lyrics he compiled when in The Smiths are among the best and funniest ever written.
