The Hit Factory: Stock, Aitkin and Waterman Story!

They were the most successful production team in British Pop music - but what do you think of their music in retrospect? Was it rubbish bubblegum pop? What did their music do for you back then and now in retrospect?

Last month a reunion concert of all their acts was cancelled in London's Hyde Park due to the rain and it looks like may never happen now due to artist commitments.

On Monday on ITV 1 at 9pm there is a documentary on them. Their first hit was Dead or Alive...

Suppose it had its place and made a few stars at the time Kylie being one, but it was quite boring and repetitive.

I thought it was terrible at the time. The passage of time hasn't changed my mind. Complete dross

It just shows what you lot know about quality music. The Reynolds Girls' "I'd Rather Jack, Than Fleetwood Mac" is a timeless classic produced by SAW.

After just watching the program it brought back a lot of memories of the 80's as in my place of work the radio was on all the time and I recall hearing Kylie "I should be so Lucky!" and Rick Astley "Never Gonna Give you up!" - they were played all the time and people really enjoyed them, particularly the later was a massive record and had a big impact at the time! These were just classics at the time and fitted the market and mood of the time. The Kylie brand soon got boring for me, after that first big hit.
