What vinyl record did you first buy?

There may have been a thread like this before?

Anyway was watching the program "The Joy of the Single" on BBC4 few weeks ago and it was about the good times of music when it came on vinyl. Those days have gone.

So I am wondering what was the first single (on vinyl) you ever bought - this probably excluses anyone under 16;)

In that case you can include the first download you bought?

Mine was Shaft by Issac Hayes

Songs for Swinging Lovers - Frank Sinatra

'swinging' didn't mean the same then as it does now
It was the age of 'Big Band Swing' music

Diana, Paul Anka,1957. I played it until the steel needle(yes, steel!) took the grooves out(quite a while before I could afford 'Little Darling').
Never knew he was Canadian.
