In days of old when Eric was bold, vinyl was your only option mate (probably 78s at that ;)). None of this modern days, Carlos Fandango snazzy all singin' & dancin' high tech-jiggery-pokery malarkey young Restless ! :)

Im sure they could've squeezed on a LP... dunno about those 78s I have never had any of those. I used to collect vinyl in my early teens. :D

Those were the days:theband: Everything went downhill big time after the 8 track ... Had one in my '69 Charger ... top of the line, just like the car:cool:

My first record player was a Bush. It would play 78, 45, and 33 and a bit. I can't remember exactly what I had on 78 ... Tommy Steele for sure, and Conway Twitty. My grandad had a full set of Gilbert and Sullivan on 78, by the Oily Cart folks. In those days you needed a wheelbarrow to carry your tunes around.:D

Electric Ladyland - already been mentioned - there was another double Hendrix compilation I had with interviews at the end and a selection of live and studio versions it may have been called "Jimmy" or something like that?

Depends if you like punk. I do not, so your comment is wrong.
I think you should listen to Sounds that can't be made, by musics best kept secret, it's the latest album by Marillion, a critically acclaimed album, in fact it has been said its almost as good as Dark Side of The Moon, the standard by which all rock is judged

But of course my opinion will be different than yours...

I shall certainly listen to it. If its better than London Calling then its brilliant. I wouldn't call London Calling punk though

You've made my night, I will take the punk reference back, that's my mistake.

If you go to marillion.com they will send you a free sample disc. Just so you knw, I purchased Sounds that can't....several months before its release, we'll before they recorded it.
Enjoy

Without a doubt Stadium Arcadium by Red Hot Chili Peppers. It is a rare masterpiece because most of today's music sucks.

Well it depends what your listening to?
There is a wealth of great new music out there being made by artists you have never heard of and never will, mainly because they do not have record contracts with the major labels.
But if you look and listen you can find some truly awesome music.

They make double CD's now as you can only fit so much on a CD before it loses quality.

Blue Oyster Cult "On Your Feet - or On Your Knees!"
