Yeah I attended the show. Thing about punk songs they all sound the same to me when I am not familiar with the group. I ended up liking the support acts more than The Buzzcocks... still was nice to see somebody famous play around here. I don't know why more bands are not put on there

I mentioned this on Facebook Rob, back in the sixties I saw the Beatles at King Georges, on the same bill was Roy Orbison, Cilla Black and Gerry and the Pacemakers, tickets were three shillings and six pence which is around seventeen and a half pence in todays money, wonder what you'd pay for a ticket today for a bill like that

I saw that :) - That would of been great to see The Beatles there. This was a smaller room downstairs - I had no idea of its existence. Perhaps there is a recording of that out there somewhere. I will keep an eye out

We went to the Grand at Clitheroe on the 16th March to see Barry Steele (a Roy Orbison Tribute) with an Elvis Presley tribute with him. It was £17.50 a ticket so who knows what it would cost for the original artists.

Yes, I was also there.

Sorry to disappoint you folks but there was no Cilla Black or Little Eva - memory must be playing tricks. See attached poster from the tour. Cilla didn't start recording until the end of 63.

I also saw Big Dee Irwin at Nelson Imp think late 63, As Little Eve was the female voice on "Swinging On A Star" He apologised cos she was not with him, as she was on a tour in her own right, So would say Susie is right.:)

Sod it, sorry, didn't add the poster... here it is.

Having uploaded it I see there is a watermark - have now deleted it and will have to find the link instead.
