See what Country song was #1 on the day you were born

Bit of fun this, but I do like the old country stuff.

My song is - Jerry Reed - She Got the Goldmine (I Got the Shaft).

Country songs have some great song titles!

Birthday No #1

This quiz only gives the right answer if you are 'someone from Preston'

The synonym as a preposition is there or there abouts Margaret, surely it should be

Someone about Darwen :D

Though guilty as charged Spiritinthesky .. never heard of mine. ;)

The expression -
"someone from Preston"
is a slang phrase for "country and western".

Someone besides me must have heard it.

I've heard it Maragaret, but had forgotten it. To be pedantic, the word 'someone ' does not appear in the phrase.

I tried the link but it only goes back to 1944 so I don't have a clue what my song would be.
'If you were the only girl in the world' was the first song I remember my dad singing so I will choose that.
