Music which make you feel Christmasy.

Some remind you of your 'youf', some of family sing songs(a coal fire, a few drinks),some of trudging to church in the snow, some just sound right for this time of year.

I remember this sung by Steeleye Span.If you're a Christian it means something to you, if your not this is still a lovely version worth listening to, got that 'feel' to it.

Incidentally apparently it was Gaudete Sunday last week.

Any more offers?
And if anyone puts Slade singing 'Merry Xmas Everybody' on I'm cancelling Christmas!

in fact any of the old style Christmas songs by the crooners will do for me.

Ahh, cashman- the 'Wall of Sound'! Magic.
It's only when you moved on from the old radiogram and got a decent amp, record player and speakers you could really enjoy it, make the windows shake and the parents scream in pain.
'Don't you worry my little pet' fascinated me when it came out(1958?). I played it to death but could never understand why the vocals were so unclear. Found out recently he mixed it that way on purpose, the words were unimportant, the voices were part of the 'Sound' he was looking for.
Boy, did he find it!

Christmas is also about having fun ... letting loose ... it's not all about being serious, contemplative, and boring.:D
