Stevie Wright lead singer of the Easybeats died 27 Dec. "Friday On My Mind" I bet young Cashman has it in his record collection. Didn't know until I read his obit today that Bowie covered it as did Bruce Springsteen. |
Re: And another R.I.P.
Paul Kantner, a founder member of the Jefferson Airplane/Starship has died of a heart attack, age 74. I was especially fond of the Airplane, who played a major part in the San Francisco music scene in the 60s.

Re: And another R.I.P.
Terry Wogan.
His radio shows used to brighten my morning drives, around the time of the raising of the Mary Rose from the Solent in the early eighties. Terry Wogan ran equally involved project on his morning radio programme, in which he detailed, with great humour, and witty contributions from the listeners the 'Raising of the Raleigh from Carshalton Pond'. The verbal sparrings at the changeover with Jimmy Young were great radio too. Have to google if Jimmy is still alive now. RIP Sir Terry. |
Re: And another R.I.P.
I am saddened by the loss of Terry Wogan.
He always sounded as if he was just alking to you...he sounded like a friend....I felt like I knew him...the only other broadcaster who did this was Ray Moore. Rest in Peace Sir Terry. |
