Seattle Grunge?
Come one come all, tell me you like Pearl Jam, tell me you have no idea what Grunge is, tell me Green river were Pioneers of their time.. just don't mention Kurt Cobain!
I just wondered whether there are any grunge fans around?? |
Re: Seattle Grunge?
Glad to see this thread's taken off in a big way

Re: Seattle Grunge?
I remember when...
...back in July 1993, Finsbury Park, North London, watching Pearl Jam. They were excellent but Eddie Vader looked as though he had dropped one before going on stage. :D Neil Young was the headline act with his backing band, for that tour, Booker T & the MG's. At the finale of his set, Pearl Jam came on stage and played "Rocking in the free World" with him. :) |
Re: Seattle Grunge?
Neil Young - now you're talking.
Do you like Mudhoney Wez? |
Re: Seattle Grunge?
or Soundgarden?
|
Re: Seattle Grunge?
Grunge is what? please don't say a type of music i've gathered that.
|
Re: Seattle Grunge?
Grunge is hard to describe without listening to it.. Think Led Zeppelin with Faith no More..
|
Re: Seattle Grunge?
I love Soundgarden Willow!!
Mudhoney are pretty cool too, nowhere near as good as Neil Young though! I can't believe you've seen Pearl Jam Sparkologist, I always end up missing them.. Eddie normally looks like that on stage man =) |
Re: Seattle Grunge?
i heart grunge especially Alice In Chains.
Im more into Doom and Stoner though now - Acid King, Cathedral and Circle Takes The Square - amazing bands |

Re: Seattle Grunge?
soundgarden supported guns n roses at maine road when i went to see them in 1992. (was it really 13 years ago?) they rocked and blew gn'r off stage and so did faith no more.
axl was s*** on that tour and the end was well in sight for them. |
Re: Seattle Grunge?
faith no more are amazing.
|
Re: Seattle Grunge?
sorri to p**s on your bonfire but i really cant stand grunge anymore - it's all introverted and frankly - all sounds the same.
correct me if im wrong but im sure grunge started around 89 and was pretty much over by the release of nevermind (91) - and the way i saw it was grunge set out to blow hair metal out of the water and it succeeded (thank god) but after nevermind there was no real point to grunge anymore - the revolution had burned out |
Re: Seattle Grunge?
Don't know about pussing on bonfire's but I can't say I've heard to much of this kind of music,I like most kinds of stuff but if you like it I'm glad for you!:)
