RIP Tony Bennett
Sad to hear that Tony Bennett has passed away. They don’t make singers like that any more. He didn’t need a lot of paraphernalia or gimmicks, just a microphone and that was it. A true artist who gave so much pleasure to his audience. Even suffering Alzheimers towards the end of his life he was still able to perform.
A sad loss to the music world but through his recordings his legacy will live on for those of us who enjoy and appreciate the good stuff. Rest in peace, Tony Bennett |
Re: RIP Tony Bennett
Rest in Peace Tony Bennett.
You entertained generations with your voice. You were able to duet with singers of the current time. Your career spanned seven decades….two weeks from your 97th birthday. |
Re: RIP Tony Bennett
Both Dotti & Margaret have said all there is to know about Toni Bennett. I can only say that his song »I Left My Heart in San Francisco« will last forever.
Cheers |
Re: RIP Tony Bennett
The last of the Greats. He was held in very high esteem by his contemporaries, Sinatra etc

Re: RIP Tony Bennett
I think we still have a flicker of hope in a good crooner…. Micheal Buble is worth a listen and he may become the substitute for Tony Bennett.
I like him anyway |
