Matty O'Neill

All the best.... I thought you where good enough to warrant an extension of the loan if not a bid put in. But what do I know eh..... Good luck back at Burnley..

Re: Matty O'Neill

He returned due to injury, but I for one would love to see him playing on the right for us next season.

Re: Matty O'Neill

He returned because its end of season lol

Smiffy16 25-04-2005 21:30

Re: Matty O'Neill

Yes I know that :) hehehehe but he was injured too thats why he hasnt played for about a month

Cafu01 25-04-2005 21:49

Re: Matty O'Neill

He was going back to Burnley for treatment for his injury.

I think he will be a good signing for Stanley he just needs to put on a bit of weight. He has surprised me when he was here on loan he played better than i thought he could, still room for a lot of improvement though.

Re: Matty O'Neill

Something Tells Me He`ll Be Back Next Season ....... He Just Has Played Well When He Has Been On The Pitch , And , With More First Team Football , Could Be One Of The Stars Of The Show !!!!

Re: Matty O'Neill

I think Matty O'Neil would be an excellent aquisition for Stanley.

It wouldn't surprise me to see a few other clubs eager for his signature during the close season.

Re: Matty O'Neill

matty would b e an ace player if the club snaped him up hopefully he'll play for us

Re: Matty O'Neill

Re: Matty O'Neill

Matty O'Neill seemed Ok when he was with us on loan and I would like to see Joel Pilkington given a trial - I believe he plays at right back and we'll need cover for Cav now the club have seen fit to get rid of Paul Howarth.

joel can play anywhere, ! usually middle of midfield

Re: Matty O'Neill

Yeah , With Rory Leaving , Maybe We Need Him , Young And Pacy

Cafu01 10-05-2005 15:12

Re: Matty O'Neill

Yep Joel can play in a lot of positions, his best is center midfield. 2 years ago he was better than Chaplow was and was going to be the one going into the Burnley first team instead of Chaplow, unfortuneatly he got injured and was out for 6 months

I dont think he will be coming here though because he is on trial for a Belgium top flight club!!!!!

Re: Matty O'Neill

Matty O'niell was seen at the club one evening last week waiting to speak to 'the Gaffer', his words not mine!!

Personally i would love to see Matty here at the IES but he would have to become a little less easy to shrug off the ball, he needs a bit more muscle to him!!! however with plenty of games I'm sure this would come.
