Summer......
Oh well footy season over (I know it's not fully over but the stanley have finished so as far as I'm concerned it's over)!! What is a girl to do waiting for the pre-season friendlies to start??? What exciting things have you all got planned to pass the time this summer, any ideas for me??? The funnier, daft and the more imaginitive the better....

Put your Stanley shirt on, go round every pub in Harwood and talk the landlord/lady into putting up a fixtures list when they come out. Talk to as many drinkers as possible along the lines of, "forget about paying high prices and travelling to Blackburn and Burnley, come down the road and watch Hyndburn's professional football club as they embark on their promotion-winning run." Have a drink in every pub. Hopefully, you'll recruit a few new punters to the cause...and you'll certainly have a good time while you're doing it! :)

Been doing it round the pubs of Stockport/South Manchester for the last 18 years. Not talked anybody into going yet (although I did persuade one bloke to buy an away shirt)...but I've had a helluva good time trying!

Must have seen me in the Royal at Gt Harwood on Sunday night for the May beer festival-complete with Stanley shirt fresh from the Ultras game. But don't let me spoil your visit there, real ale & their own mini brewery downstairs brewing Felix, named after the pub cat, another friendly character there. Spread the word, practice gettin those barbies going for next season & maybe some one just might get a pic of Kipax smiling!!!!Lol

any excuse thats all i need haha and then we could on the hill walk as suggested to burn off all the calories and weight we may have gained............. or then again maybe not :) |

Perhaps people could spend the Summer saving up money to pay the increased entrance fees at the IES? £12!!! I hope it's worth it. :eek:

Already paid for my season ticket tin monkey, so no worries there!!! Anybody seriously interested in the pub crawl idea pm me with any dates that are not suitable and I will try to arrange a full day of a stanley pub crawl

sounds a great idea and all for a great cause ............. spreading the name of the best club in the land................ :) and u never know seeing as we are advertising the club mr whalley may even buy us all a drink to say thanks ........................ or then again maybe not haha :P |

if its at night then i'll be workin at a pub in ossy and wont be able to come - but maybe if u make it so far you can come and visit me - its an acoustic night upstairs and so you will have beer and acoustic music to keep you entertained haha :)
